Foundations Success Academy is a dream realized. As owners, we believe that we have been commissioned with the duty to serve the children of Fresno, California. We possess over 20 years of child development experience. 15 of those years were spent as an owner/operator of a Family childcare home. As the owners of a Family Childcare home, we discovered that some of the greatest components linked to the child’s educational success involved being aware of the child’s cultural background and empowering parents with strategies and tools to assist their children. A component that many family childcare homes possessed, and many childcare centers lacked is the willingness to connect with families on a personal level. In our 15 years as family childcare homeowners, we’ve helped to feed, clothe, and motivate the spirit of many young children. As well as their parents. As owners, we’ve visited many other childcare environments that display the placard of “high-quality.” However, when asked to expound on this title, they almost always spoke of their educational curriculum. They focused on Education but neglected many other fundamentals that are essential for a child’s development. Rarely did we hear benefits pertaining to the child’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. And, even if it was mentioned, rarely did we see it being exercised within their facility. We noticed this pattern within several “High quality” ECE environments. This both saddened and motivated us to establish Foundations Success Academy. We have established Foundations to embody all the necessary components for setting a solid foundation towards children’s success.
